Who's responsible

GEMBOUND I/S, CVR DK46613880, is the data controller for gembound.net. Questions or requests about your data can be sent to gemboundContact@gmail.com.

Your account

Logging in uses Discord OAuth. We store your Discord ID, username, display name, avatar and (if Discord provides it) your email, so we know who you are across the site: your tickets, your Patron status, and whether you have mod/admin access. If you self-report a Minecraft username to link to your account, we check it against Mojang and store the name and UUID. This is self-reported and shown as such, we don't verify you own that Minecraft account.

You can unlink your Minecraft name or ask us to delete your account entirely, just email us.

Staff applications

When you apply for staff on our application page, we collect your Minecraft username, Discord username, age, timezone, time played on Gembound, and your written answers. This is stored in our database and only visible to staff reviewing applications, a notification (without your written answers) is posted to a private staff Discord channel so it gets seen quickly.

We keep applications for up to 6 months after a decision is made, or for as long as you're active staff if you're accepted.

Support tickets & reports

Opening a ticket on our support page (billing, bugs, player reports, anything else) requires being logged in, and stores your Minecraft/Discord username plus whatever you write, visible to staff. Player reports and moderation actions (mutes, kicks, bans) are logged the same way. A notification is posted to a private staff Discord channel when a ticket or report comes in, or a mod action is logged.

Purchases & Patron status

Purchases go through Tebex, not us, see our Terms of Service for how that works. Tebex handles all payment information under their own Privacy Policy. We never see or store your card details, only the Minecraft username needed to deliver your purchase.

We keep a running total of how much a Minecraft username has spent with us (from Tebex purchases, and occasionally logged by hand from a payment we can see was made but the store didn't record). Once that total crosses a threshold, the username and resulting Patron tier are shown publicly on our Patron wall as a thank-you. Ask us to leave you off it and we will.

Reviews

Reviews posted on our reviews & voting page show the Minecraft username, rating and text you submit, publicly, indefinitely, unless a moderator removes it or you ask us to.

Discord

Our Discord server is operated by Discord Inc. under their own privacy policy. The member and online counts shown on gembound.net come from Discord's public API and don't involve any personal data on our end.

Cookies & local storage

gembound.net uses one strictly necessary cookie to keep you logged in, it doesn't use tracking or analytics cookies. Your shopping cart is remembered between visits using your browser's local storage rather than a cookie, it never leaves your device except to load the basket from Tebex. When you open the embedded store or Discord panel, Tebex and Discord may set their own cookies under their own policies, we don't control those.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, just email gemboundContact@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.
